More businesses have apparently signed up for units on the Manor Point (Manor Lane) business park.
I’m basing this on the additions to the signage which you will have seen if you have passed by recently (i.e. by turning left out of Aldi towards the roundabout – or, of course, driving straight down Manor Lane towards Macclesfield Road.
As you can see, the new businesses are Howdens Joinery and Toolstation. Interesting that we now seem to have a cluster of businesses all focussed on the DIY and home improvement sector. I have personal experience of using Howden’s for a fitted kitchen (via the Crewe store) and I have to say it was excellent, and really good value, so that’s good to have locally. I think Howdens normally work with local kitchen fitters and builders rather than supplying directly to the public – but either way, that’s an interesting local addition. I don’t know too much about Toolstation from direct experience, but they appear to also sell home improvement, DIY, tools obviously, and that sort of thing. Again, not good news for Morreys and, as I said in a previous post when I mentioned Screwfix being added to the sign initially, I will personally always get whatever I can in Morreys before going anywhere else.
Work is continuing at a pace to complete the actual units, and it’s really starting to take shape now. Stay tuned, or keep your eyes peeled if passing by, to see what’s coming next!
