The full planning application for the new Aldi store for Holmes Chapel on Manor Lane has been formally submitted to Cheshire East Council.

As we understand it, the intention is for the store to open from 8am to 11pm Monday to Saturday, and 9am – 4pm on Sundays. Aldi currently run a number of excellent local stores in Congleton, Sandbach and Knutsford and so adding another in Holmes Chapel should ease the demand on those stores slightly, and will greatly improve the local food shopping offer.

You can have your say by clicking the link above and completing the form on the Cheshire East website so if you support or oppose the application, then you can say so. One thing is for sure, it has to be better than the current Manor Lane situation.

Assuming that the Sainsbury’s is going ahead on the old Fisons site, this will transform the food shopping option for residents and save many of us from having to drive off to Congleton or Sandbach to do our food shoppping.
