From Cheshire East Highways (with thanks to Margaret Ranger for passing this on).
Following the damaged caused to Saltersford Bridge, on Macclesfield Road in July 2016. Where there are currently temporary traffic lights for safety reasons. We are now in a position to make the repairs to the parapet wall. Unfortunately this will mean that we need to close Macclesfield Road just at the Bridge to traffic during the day time only, to allow the crane access to lift the blocks back into place. Temporary traffic lights will be placed back on the structure outside the working hours.
This is starting on Tuesday 27 September 2016 and will be finished by Thursday 6 October 2016, and will be closed from 09.30 to 15.30. Advanced warnings are being displayed as well as letters being distributed along Macclesfield Road (from the junction with Knutsford Road to Twemlow Village. The diversion route is Macclesfield Road, Knutsford Road, London Road, Holmes Chapel Road, Toft Road, Adam’s Hill, Brook Street, Chelford Road, Holmes Chapel Road, Macclesfield Road, Chelford Road & back to Macclesfield road.
